Rhinestone unlocks modular account abstraction together with Startale Cloud Services (SCS) on Sony’s Op Stack Layer2, Soneium

About Soneium and Startale Cloud Services

How Rhinestone supports SCS and Soneium

Part of SCS’s mandate is to build a seamless wallet experience that a) unlocks web2-like UX for Soneium users and b) enables developers to offer custom account abstraction features whilst retaining a unified ecosystem wallet across all Soneium applications.

SCS is leveraging Rhinestone as the backbone of the Startale Account Abstraction on Soneium. At the centre of the Soneium ecosystem wallet is an ERC-7579 smart account, allowing developers to tap into existing modules like Passkeys for secure key management and signing, or Smart Sessions for self-custodial permissions to streamline dapp UX and enable onchain automations.

SCS’s long-term ambition is to enable a multi-chain wallet experience that allows users to instantly spend funds on Soneium from any chain, without bridging or caring for gas tokens. Rhinestone’s intent-powered transaction system (called Omni Account) solves this problem, enabling the Soneium ecosystem wallet to be truly chain abstracted.
